BORSTEL
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Diepholz
Samtgemeinde : Samtgemeinde Siedenburg

Origin/meaning
The arms show a kettle-hook, used in historical times over an open fire. The common furnace was a secret place and thus the hook was taken as a symbol. The two pikes are a symbol of the vigilance of the villagers.
