Origin/meaning
The arms of Amt Enger were granted on September 15, 1938.
The arms are a combination of the arms of the town of Enger and as an escutcheon the horse of the arms of the Herford district. The district arms were chosed as allegedly the grave of Duke Widukind (whose symbol is the horse) is in Enger.
