- (de) *(1968) In geteiltem Schild oben in Blau eine zweitürmige silberne Kirche mit roter Bedachung und goldenem Kreuz auf dem Giebel des Kirchenschiffs beseitet von zwei silbernen Laubbäumen, unten in Gold drei bewurzelte silberne Bäume.
- (1976) In Blau auf schwebendem Sechsberg eine eintürmige silberne Kirche mit roter Bedachung und goldenem Turmkreuz zwischen je einem aus dem Sechsberg wachsenden silbernen Linden- und Eichenzweig.
Origin/meaning
Waldkirch received city rights in 1300 from the Lords of Schwarzenberg. The first seal of the town, dating from around 1300 shows in the upper part a canting picture; a church between linden and oak leaves (Waldkirch = wood church). The lower part showed the six black hills of the arms of the Lords of Schwarzenberg (see also Elzach).

These arms were used until 1634, when the arms were changed into the arms below. These arms were officially granted in 1968.
The new arms (above) were granted on May 5, 1976 after the merger with the other municipalities. The new arms are based on the oldest seal, with colours derived from the oldest known coloured image, dating from 1588.
