Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 25, 1981.
The chevronis taken from the arms of the Counts of Hanau-Lichtenberg, who ruled the area for a long period of time until 1793. The oak branches in the upper half refer to the nature, the cog-wheel in the base to the industry in the village.
