Origin/meaning
The oldest seal of Neuweier dates from the early 19th century. It showed a divided shield with in the upper right half the arms of Baden, and in the lower left half a horseshoe. The horseshoe appears alone in a shield in later 19th century seals.

When the municipality asked for a new seal, the State Archives proposed the above arms, as several other municipalities in Baden already used a horseshoe. The grapes symbolise the viticulture in the area. The council approved the new arms in July 1900.
