COUNTY BREHNA

Arms (crest) of County Brehna

Official blazon

  • (de)

Origin/meaning

The County was a small county located in the present-day German state of Sachsen-Anhalt. It existed as an independent territory from 1034-1356 when it became part of Sachsen. Later it was one of the titles of the Kings of Prussia. Capital was the city of Brehna.

The arms show three heraldic water lily leaves, taken from the arms of the Counts of Brehna until 1290 but have been used afterwards for the county.
