Origin/meaning

The municipality of Körzin never had its own arms. The arms above were adopted on July 15, 2019.

The golden acorn on a green background should refer to the peace oak that stood at the entrance to the village and also today stands again. The six golden tree trunks in a circle surround it protecting the village, represented here by the acorn. The golden tree trunks symbolize the originally 10th century Slavic rampart (a so-called Wallburg), which is one kilometer from the village and which is still clearly visible today. At the time of the Slavic settlement the water level was much higher, so the field were very boggy, this is symbolised by the blue field.
