Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 5, 1975.
The arms show in the upper half a red beech, which is a canting element (Rote Buche). The deer antler symbolises the historical hunting lodge of the Archbishops of Mainz in the village. The lower half shows the wheel of the State of Mainz, to which the village historically belonged until 1803.
