Origin/meaning
The cross refers to St. Mauritius, the local patron saint. The red and silver colours refer to the former State of Trier, to which the village historically belonged. The cornucopia refer to the silver mining in the area in the 18th century, and also appeared on the first coin struck from the silver, the Erstlingstaler from 1750. The blue refers to the -bach (stream) part of the name.
