In elfmal von Schwarz und Silber geteiltem Schild oben rechts eine rote Vierung, darin ein sechsspeichiges silbernes Rad. Origin/meaningKrautheim received city rights in 1306 from the Counts of Eberstein. In the 14th century the city was sold to the State of Mainz, to which the city belonged until 1802. The arms and the seals all showed the wheel of Mainz. From 1803-1898 the city used a trefoil in its arms, but the old arms were restored in 1898.
In 1950 the wheel was placed on a divided shield to distinguish the arms from similar arms with the wheel of Mainz, see below. In 1971 the arms were changed and combine the wheel of Mainz with the arms of the former Lords of Krautheim. Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
