Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 4, 1997.
The wavy pale in green symbolises the Schlaube river, which meanders through the green (agricultural) fields.
The watermill wheel refer to the many watermills in the area, which were of importance for the local development, but only a few remain. The oak leaf symbolises the (oak) forests in the district.
