NEIDENBACH
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm (until 1969 Bitburg)
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Bitburger Land (until 2014 Verbandsgemeinde Kyllburg)
German | In Silber ein blauer, schrägrechts gewendeter Schlüssel, vorn ein roter Schleifstein, hinten eine blaue Kornblume. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1977.
The key is the symbol for St. Peter, the local patron saint. The corn flower refers to the agricultural character of the area. The millstone is a symbol for the local sand stone industry.
The colours are those of the State of Trier (red-silver) and Luxembourg (red, silver, blue), to which the area historically belonged.
