In Rot über silbernen Wellen ein schreitender, schwarz bewehrter silberner Dachs; darüber schwebend ein von Silber und Schwarz geviertes Schildchen.

Origin/meaning

Dachsbach baeame in 1280 a possession of the Margraves of Nürnberg form the Hohenzollern dynasty. The oldest seal dates from 1682 and shows two small shields, one with the quartered shield of the Hohenzollern family, and one with a canting badger (Dachs) above a stream (Bach). Until the late 18th century the seals showed the two small shields. In the 19th century the two were combined to the above composition. The above colours were officially adopted in 1965.
