Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 19, 1956.

The figures in the arms symbolise the glas blowing industry in the city (glass deer) and the Thüringer Wald (forest). The glas blowing in Lauscha started in the late 16th century and has been of great importance for the city.
