District (Kreis) : Barnim
Additions : 2003 Blumberg, Eiche, Lindenberg, Mehrow

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 15, 2007.
Both the municipality as the village of Ahrensfelde use arms. The arms of the village, shown below, are based on the old seal and indicate the agricultural character of the village.
The municipal arms show 5 wheatears taken from the village arms, each representing one of the villages in the municipality. The checquered point symbolizes both the agricultural fields, as well as the fact that the municipality is on the border of Berlin and new residential areas are being built.
Unfortunately we have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms yet.
