Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 21, 1983.
The three wavy bars symbolise the three rivers in the municipality. Theya re also a canting element, the name is said to be derived from Trualb, or Drei Alben (three streams), but ethymologically this is not correct. The three chevrons are taken from the arms of the Lords of Hanau-Lichtenberg, who ruled the village until the late 18th century. The crosier symbolises the Stürzelbronn Abbey, which started to clear the forests and cultivate the lands in the Middle Ages. The abbey had much influence and possessions in the area for many centuries.
