RODHEIM VOR DER HÖHE
State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Wetteraukreis (until 1972 Friedberg-Hessen)
Incorporated into : 1972 Rosbach vor der Höhe
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1961 and are based on the oldest known seal of the village, dating from the late 16th century. The upper half shows the bars of the Counts of Rieneck, Lords of Rodheim until 1559. They were succeeded by the Counts of Hanau, whose arms (chevrons) are shown in the upper left corner. The lower part symbolises the fortifications of Rodheim in the 16th and 17th century.
