German |
Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on January 12, 1951. The arms are derived from the origin of the name. The name Haar is derived from the word Hart, which means a clearing in a forest. The village was first mentioned in the 9th century and, like most villages in the area, was built on clearings in the Ebersberger forest.
