Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted in 1948 and again on December 18, 1972. Münsingen became a residence of the Counts of Württemberg in the 13th century. The city rights were granted between 1263 and 1339. Before 1948 the colour of the shield was not clear, Hupp used the golden field of Württemberg as shown below.
