Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 20, 1968.
The fleur-de-lis and crown are the symbol of St. Mary and symbolise the pilgrimage to the village, which dates from early medieval times. Already in 1474 a church was built on the site of the pilgrimage on the Holderstock hill. The left half shows a pie tree on a canting mountain (Berg), and symbolises the geographical situation in the municipality. The red and silver are the colours of the State of Mainz, to which the area belonged from 1272 until 1803.
