Origin/meaningThe base of the arms symbolises the Rhein river, on which the municipality was situated. The rooster is derived from the arms of the Counts of Spee, who owned the large castle and estate of Heltorf. The wall-anchor is derived from the arms of the Princes of Hatzfeld, who owned the estate of Kalkum. The division of the shield also symbolises the three former municipalities, Bockum, Kalkum and Wittlaer. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
