Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 27, 1962.
The village was founded by clearing some forests by the Forestmaster Von Lebenhahn, with permission of the Prince-Bishop of Würxburg to which the area belonged. The lower half of the arms shows the clubs taken from the arms of the Lebenhahn family. The upper half shows a villager and the two main activities of the villagers in historical times; hunting (horn) and making charcoal (axe).
