Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in September 2021.
The blue tower represents the Quilow Estate in the municipality, the wall refers to the defence wall, built by the Swedes along the Peene river. The base refers to the Peene. The griffin is the symbol for the region of (Vor)Pommern and the three wheatears refer to the agricultural character of the area.
