Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1951.
The cat (Katze) is a canting symbol. The cat stands on a meadow, which is canting for the -zwang part of the name, which means a rather wet meadow. The crosier is a symbol for the Ebrach abbey, which historically had many possessions in the area.
