Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 22, 2009.
The name may be derived from a term meaning 'a village on a hill with the source of a river'. This is symbolised by the wavy bend in the arms. The urn refers to an archaeological find from the Stone Age in the municipality and thus refers to the longtime inhabitation. The heart, arrow and flowers are taken from the old seal of the village.
