Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 19, 1964.
The miner's lamp and the wheat era symbolise the historical activities in the area, mining and agriculture. The checquered field with the crosier symbolises the fact that the village historically belonged to the "In der Abtei" (in the abbey) district of the County of Sponheim (checquered field).
