Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 19, 1965.
The arms show the eagle of the County Arnsberg, to which the area belonged in medieval times, before it became part of the State of Köln. The grill is the symbol of St. Lawrence, the patron saint of the village. The silver and black are the colours of the State of Köln.
