State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Göppingen

German |
Unter goldenem Schildhaupt, darin eine schwarze Hirschstange, von Schwarz und Gold gerautet. |

Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1912 and are slightly different than the original proposal of the State Archives, which showed a divided shield, not a chief. The chief shows the deer antler for Württemberg, the lower half the arms of the Dukes of Teck, the oldest known rulers of the area.
