Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on February 9, 1979.
The different villages in the Verbandsgemeinde each belonged to one or more different rulers during the centuries. The juniper branch is taken from the arms of Spirkelbach. The bordure is a common symbol for a Verbandsgemeinde.
