German In Blau ein verbretterter silberner Turm mit einem nach unten stärker werdenden Sockel, einem Zeltdach und zwei schwarzen Fensteröffnungen, beseitet: vorn von einer goldenen Ähre, hinten von einem pfahlweise gestellten silbernen Fisch.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 15, 1995.

The arms show the belltower of Saal, a typical landmark and monument in the village. The wheatear and the fish refer to the importance of agriculture and fisheries in the municipality. the fish and the blue colour also refer to the position on the Saaler Bodden coastline.
