Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 2018.
The house is the local schoolhouse, built in 1860 and which was known as the "House in the sun". The local teacher, Wilhelm Kircher, played a role in the school reform in the state in the mid 20th century. The sun also refers to the name of the school.
The lion head is taken from the arms of the Counts of Sayn, to which the area historically belonged.
The base refers to the history of the village. The hook refers to the clearing of the forest for the development of the village, the hammer for the iron mining. This is also a canting symbol for Isern (Iser=Eisen=iron).
