Origin/meaning

The farmhouse is a typical type of house in the area. The blue wavy bar symbolises both the Weser river as well as the Estorfer See. The lower half shows the arms of the Freytag (Fridag) family 151a.wsa.jpg, which ruled and lived in the village from 1250 until the 19th century (the family still exists).

The golden colour refers to the Estorfer Geest, a area of sandy soil.
