English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 5, 2023.
The red and silver colours are the colours of the Electorate of Trier and the county Schönecken. Both owned several farms in the Pronsfeld condominium in Lierfeld.
In the municipality there are trade routes for the local and long-distance areas, which were already traveled with carts in ancient times.
The wavy bend symbolizes the Merlbach, on which a watermill was operated for a long time. The latter is represented by the millstone in the lower half.
