English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 28, 1969 and are identical to the arms of the former municipality of Altenseelbach.
The diamonds are derived from the arms of the medieval Lords of Seelbach, who, in the middle of their territory, founded a new church (Neuen-Kirch) in the 12th century. They ruled the area until the 14th century.
