Origin/meaning

The wavy division line symbolises the merger of the two municipalities in 2001 and at the same time forms a letter S. The colours are those of Brandenburg.

The inescutcheon symbolises the Diocese of Havelberg, as both villages belonged to the diocese from 946 until 1548.

Literature: Image provided by the Amt Neustadt (Dosse) council.
