|
German | In Blau eine schräge silberne Rodehacke, begleitet von zwei silbernen Kleeblättern. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 17, 1957.
The axe stands for the -rüthe part of the name, which is derived from the verb roden, or clearing forest. The two clover leaves refer to the agricultural character of the municipality. The colours are those of the County Arnsberg, to which the area historically belonged.
