Origin/meaning

The arms show a fish to symbolise the fishing village Norddeich and a lightning to symbolise the radio transmitters of Norddeich Radio, part of the German naval radio system. The green refers to agriculture, whereas the red and silver are the colours of the transmitting towers at the time.
