German In blauem Feld ein goldener, mit golden tingiertem Torf beladener Kahn, begleitet von zwei pfahlweis gestellten goldenen sechszackigen Sporenrädern.

Origin/meaning

The arms show a ship full of peat. Peat was found in large quantities in the area (fehn = bog, moor) and transported by special boats to the city of Norden.

The colours and the spurs are taken from the arms of Norden, and symbolise the strong (historical) ties to the city.
