German In rotem Schilde ein silberner gotischer Torbogen, darin ein hl. Bischof stehend in silbernem Gewande, in der Linken den Stab haltend.

Origin/meaning

The arms were never granted, but have been used since 1925.

The arms were first mentioned in the Paderborn roll of arms from the 18th century, see below. The description mentions that the saint is St. Nicholas, but the patron saint of Vörden is St. Kilianus, so it is likely that it is the latter saint in the arms.
