Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 19, 1993.
The cross symbolises the church of St. Vitus, which is situated on a hill. The two chess pawns symbolise the traditional woodcarving and wood industry in the village. The black colour and the tools symbolise the coal mining in the area until 1949.
