Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 15, 1980.

The arms show in the upper half the typical windmill in the municipality, built in 1864. The horse in the base is taken from the arms of the Grote family, who had their estate in the village. It also refers to the former transport station in the village. The wavy bar represents the Mittellandkanal.
