Additions : 1971Eschenbach, Lembach, Limbach, Weisbrunn; 1978 Dippach am Main, Roßstadt

Wappen von Eltmann

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The oldest known seal of the town dates from the late 14th century and shows only the quartered shield of the State of Würzburg. From 1512 onwards all the seals show the above arms, only the T was added in the 19th century.
The knight is likely a canting symbol, the old name of the town was Heltmann (literally Hero-man).
