(de) In halbgespaltenem und geteiltem Schild oben vorne in drei Reihen dreimal in Gold und Blau geschachtet, in Blau ein steigender siebenmal in Silber und Rot geteilter goldbewehrter Löwe, unten in Silber ein blaues Schwert und ein blauer Steinhammer diagonal gekreuzt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ??
The arms show the checquered field of the Counts of Sponheim and the barred lion of the Rheingrafen (Counts of the Rhine). The base shows a sword and a hammer, which are both derived from the old seal of the village.
In 1956 the arms show below were proposed, showing a anting deep valley (Tief=deep, Thal=valley).
