In Rot ein silberner Adlerfang.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1902 and are based on the oldest seal of the town, dating from the 18th century. The meaning of the claw is not known. The colours were officially described in 1902, but in the late 19th century the colours were often shown as silver in blue.
