Wappen von Amt Bad Wilsnack/Weisen/Arms (crest) of Amt Bad Wilsnack/Weisen
Official blazon
German

Unter goldenem Schildhaupt, belegt mit einem blauen Wellenbalken, in Grün drei goldene Laubkronen (2:1).

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 7, 1998

The blue wave symbolises the Elbe river in the district, and, with 2 waves also resembles the letter W for Wilsnack and Weisen.

The three crowns refer to the three noble families that ruled the area in medieval times; the Von Quitzow 068a.wsa.jpg, Von Retzdorf and Von Saldern 313a.wsa.jpg families. The leaves of the crown resemble oak leaves, symbolising the (oak) forests in the area. The green field also refers to the forests, as well as nature and agriculture.
