German In Schwarz zwei goldene fünfendige, unten gekreuzte Hirschstangen, umgeben von neun goldenen Schindeln, zwischen den Stangen aufrechtstehend eine goldene Wolfsangel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 18, 1938.

The small bars in the arms are derived from the medieval Knights of Hundem. The two deer antlers are a symbol of the many deer in the forests. The hook is a local farming symbol and symbolised the agricultural character of the area.
