Official blazon

In Gold der Rumpf eines rot bezungten schwarzen Bracken mit blauer Halskette, daran ein blaues Schloss.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 1, 1955.

The arms show a dog's head, taken from the arms of the medieval Lords von Dorfbeck, who named themselves after their estate in Dorfbeck in the present municipality. The arms are knwon from 14th and 15th century seals. the family became extinct in 1600.
