In Blau über silbernen Wellen eine goldene Holzbrücke, auf der ein rot gekrönter und rot bewehrter goldener Löwe schreitet.

The oldest known seal for the town dates from 1508 and already shows a lion on a bridge. The bridge (Brücke) is a canting element, the lion is the lion if the Pfalz, in which the town is situated. All later seals and images have shown the same composition, but the lion has sometimes been shown without crown (as shown below by Hupp from the 1920s) and the colours have differed widely during the centuries.
