Selected collector's items from Germany:

FLOMERSHEIM

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
Urban district (Stadtkreis) : Frankenthal
Incorporated into : 1919 Frankenthal

Wappen von Flomersheim

Official blazon

(de) In Gold auf grünem Dreiberg eine grüne Pflanze.

Origin/meaning

The arms were never officially granted, but have been used since the late 19th century.

The meaning, and species, of the plant is unknown. Most likely the plant is a linden tree, as there has been a local court in the village since the late 16th century. The linden is a symbol for justice.

The plant has also been explained as a berry or potato, but there is no historical evidence thereof.
