In Blau eine silberne Axt ohne Stiel.

Origin/meaning

The arms show an axe-blade as a symbol for the importance of forestry for the municipality. The blade first appears in a seal from 1770, and all later seals and arms have shown the same. The colours were officially determined in 1900.
